Filippos Nakas Summer Music Festival 2011 - Artistic Direction: Iakovos Kolanian
Tuesday 5 to Sunday 10 July at Malaconda Beach Hotel - Eretria
The Philippos Nakas Conservatory is bringing together music and blue sea, in a landscape ideal for amusement and inspiration.
Summer Music Festival 2011 combines vacation with musical training, in a friendly and pleasant environment. It is addressed to music students, teachers, artists, but also listeners that are apt to learn and listen to interesting concerts. Acknowledged piano, guitar, violin and flute professors and soloists will be contributing in widening the horizons of participants and give them the possibility of presenting their work, as well as to take part in the competition of Festival. Parents or friends of the participants may also combine their summer vacation with the attendance of artistic events.

All students of the Master Classes can take part in the competitions, divided into three categories:
Competition for up to 12-year old students (category Α)
Two pieces of the student's choice, belonging into different music eras [each student can perform for no more than 7']
Competition for up to 12-year old students (category Β)
Two pieces of the student's choice, belonging to different music eras [each student can perform for no more than 10']
Competition for students of any age (category C)
Preliminaries Two works or two movements of different works belonging to different music eras
[each student can perform for no more than 10']
Finals Two of three works or movements of different works belonging to different music eras [duration from 15 ' to 20 ']. The students have the right to repeat works performed at the preliminaries.
FEES
FOR PARTICIPANTS THAT ARE STAYING AT THE HOTEL
- 320 € for active members of the master classes
290 € for auditors
- 250 € for family and friends that escort the students
The above fees include 5 overnights (for double or triple bedroom ) with breakfast and lunch daily, attendance of all the events and attendance of all courses for the students.
FOR PARTICIPANTS THAT ARE NOT STAYING AT THE HOTEL
- 100 € for active members that are not staying at the hotel
- 80 € for auditors that are not staying at the hotel
The above fees include attendance of all events and attendance of all courses for the students.
